Job interview is the session of asking interview questions to the job applicant by the interviewer. The interviewer of the job applicant is the staff of the hiring company of the employer himself. It is the process of assessing the best qualified and experienced applicant for the position.
Generally, employer prepares interview questions that will be used to evaluate the job applicant. The questions can be verbal interview question or non verbal interview questions. The verbal interview questions are question that you will be asked by interviewer during the job interview. The verbal job interview question can be in form of phone interview, face to face interview or video conferencing interview. While the non verbal job interview is a type of interview that involve some physical activities such as reading, writing or practical activities. Mostly, the non verbal interview tests your skills of doing the job as required, if you have a better experience and how better you can do it. Examples of nonverbal job interview include sample work interviews, written interviews and technical interviews.
Job interview proceeds from the screening of job application and Resumes of the job applicant. Them selecting the job applicant that qualifies and best suits the position. Thus, job applicant are always required to write either  good job application, cover letter or motivation letter plus  CV’s to build their self impression of being selected and shortlisted for the next job interview process. The selected job applicants are called for job interviews.
Job interview is one of most commonly used tools by the employer to evaluate the best job candidates. It involves preparation of job interview questions that are related to the skills required for the job, the qualities of the candidates, the experienced needed and the level of education needed in the job vacancy.  
The job interviewer assesses the applicant skills, qualities, abilities and the knowledge that is related to the job. In addition to that, the employer evaluates your personality, your jolliness, your ability to learn and if you can meet your interest of career development in that job. Through the job interview, you will be asked several interview questions that are related to you and the job you are required to be responsible of. Furthermore, the employer will ask you how you conduct yourself in the work place such as your social interaction skills, presentation skills, stress control and self evaluative skills.  
During interview process, the interviewer will not only concentrate on how you answer those interview question but also your body language in the interview. It will try to read your body moves and physical impression that you give at the interview place.
The interview may take several stages or phases. It can be oral interview phase, written interview, selection interview, reference checking and signing of code of conduct and a contract. The number of phases the job interview involves is determined by the competitiveness of the job vacancy, the number of qualified applicants and selection method used by the company to recruit staffs.
Recently, due to the improved access of technology, many employers use video conferencing or internet platforms, application such as Skype to do job interviews for distant applicants. Some of the organization use psychometric test to job interview applicants. Phone interviews and video interview has been trending high in the job market.
Finally, after all the job applicants are interviewed, the employer selects the best qualified candidate for the job vacancy and negotiates the contracts with.
